Interior Designer - North Carolina

My recent work:

This is the Kitchen/conference office, very cozy and rustic, I wish I had a good picture of the border, it is a cool lake scene with log cabins, covered bridges, wooden speed boat of yesteryear.

I got to shop and purchase the kitchen table, that was fun and the microwave cart too.

The heart shaped shelf I got at a thrift store and painted it dark green like the walls and then sanded it to make it look distressed, (the flowers were moved to the top of the door).

The secretary took these pictures b 4 I was ready.

This is the before picture, I remembered as I was painting that I didn't take a picture of all the white walls first!

Trim molding in corner is missing,.

Steve is on it.

On the kitchen side, I stenciled and handpainted the border with pine needles and cones, also oaks and acorns and added the light under the cabinet.

Stephen says the picture really doesn't do it any justice.

Marty's Office

This is Marty's office, ( Steve's Boss) this is the before there were a couple pictures on the wall but that was it.

This is a week later, I used two different colors on the top half of the wall to resemble suede. And it has a painted ponies running on the border, Marty is half Indian and we went with the family heritage look. He has his drafting table and his great-grandfathers drafting table in there too.

This is the other side of the room.
That's it for now, at the time I am working on the front office and will send pictures of that too, when I'm done.

Each of the rooms so far have taken me about a week and a half to do.

Including Shopping!

This is the main office where the secretary Robin sits and customers enter into this room. It's feeling is French Country.

I used hand painted stencils, blue and white pottery, red and white stripped valance along with the border in red and white french toile.

I also made the wreath and topiary tree in the window.

I love the little black and crystal chandelier soooo girly

.
Only thing I'm still hunting for in the foreground left corner is a topiary shaped artificial tree like a ficus.

Over to the right is the front door I painted red.

This was done for a reason as the Asian designers use it for prosperity and abundance. And boy does it work!

We have had great success with lots of people coming in wanting homes constructed. Thank goodness !!!

quilt for St. Jude Hospital
FRIENDS: Last July (2004)  I participated in awonderful project through Hancock Fabrics, each year they get together with St.Jude Hospital. It's called: "Quilt of Dreams," it is to help benefit the children at St. Jude Hospital.

These kids touched my heart.
There are so many children with cancer. They just miss so much of their childhood, stuff we take for granted, like pets, friends, playtime etc.

I am an amateur quilt maker so I requested mine to be donated to a child. Or should I say adopted by a child.
They just recently distributed thousands of quilts this October.

We were asked to name the quilt.  I named mine, "Sailboats, Sandbars And Fishes Of The Sea"
If you are interested you can actually purchase a quilt made by others and this money goes to hopefully a cure for the kids, or you can just donate money.  Please check out the web site, to see other quilts.  It is a terrific organization.
